Mirrors - series - etched mirrors, 80x100cm - 2017

»The mirror works refer to bathroom mirrors at home or in hotel rooms. They address rare moments of intimacy we have. I often find time for reflection and day-dreaming when I am alone in the bathroom. Taking a shower and looking at the steamed-up mirror which no longer reflects me, writing words with my fingers and wiping the mirror to see myself again are all part of the ritual. These are honest moments in which I can reveal my weakness and my insecurity to myself. Who am I?«
