Lightinstallation in Arnsberg City,   2005

As soon as the sun sets, two spot lights start 
to observe the market place of the city of Arnsberg. 
Besides the fact that the place is located 
in the center of the oldest part of the city, 
it is not highly frequented. 
The spots observe the place in different speeds 
and make the few passers-by visible 
who square the place. 
On the other hand, the lights seem to fool around with 
on the site in a playful manner, it looks like 
they try to catch each other. 
Due to the intervention, the place is presented in 
a new state which focus the attention of the citizens 
of Arnsberg on the abandon yet urban place. 

Sobald es dunkel wird in Arnsberg schalten sich 
2 Suchscheinwerfer ein, die auf den umliegenden 
GebŠuden platziert sind und den in der Stadt hšchst 
reprŠsentativen, aber im Grunde recht wenig frequentierten 
Platz, in verschiedenen Geschwindigkeiten abtasten. 
Die Lichter scannen den Ort ab und legen dabei Objekte 
und Menschen, die sich im Dunkeln bewegen offen. 
Gleichzeitig wirken diese beweglichen Lichtpunkte  
sehr verspielt, und es scheint als ob sie sich 
gegenseitig zu fangen versuchen. 
Dem Platz wird durch das Licht eine neue 
Aufmerksamkeit zuteil, die er vorher nicht erfuhr.
